Servicing
The very nature of percussion instruments mean they are subject to constant wear and tear both form the playing and moving of the instruments them selves. I offer a complete service of your timpani with assessment of the drum full lubrication and set up. Ensuring your instruments can sound as good or better than the day they left the factory.
Completely refurbished Premiers
Repairs
Instruments can be easily damaged and I offer a repair service with a quick turn around to keep you performing.

Frame allignment
The frame of a timpani must be aligned and entered for the timpani mechanism to pull smoothly and evenly. I offer a frame alignment service during a rebuild to ensure that the drum will pull evenly.

Refurbishing
Whether you have a pair of old pots, an old bass drum or an old tambourine I can refurbish it and get it playable again.

If you have an old set of Premiers or Ludwigs with the traditional copper coloured frames I can respray these with a very close match to return them to a new look. Alternately frames can be disassembled and powder coated in any colour you like. Including pink.

replacement parts
In some cases it can be difficult to source original parts or these parts may have inherent design faults. I can have replacement parts for all timpani fabricated and fitted. These can include;
Ratchets and teeth -available in chromed mild steel or polished stainless steel.
Fine tuner Handles

Premier parts can be replaces with parts fabricated in stainless steel to prevent rust.
Wheels - in the case of Premier and Ludwig timpani with significantly more sturdy wheels than the original factory parts
Replacement clutch post and fork
Lids and DISKS
Ironically the head of your timpani or bass drum is also the part most prone to damage. I manufacture plywood head protector disks to ensure your instrument reaches the venue intact.

Rebuilds
Some times an instrument looks like it might be beyond repair but I can offer a complete rebuild of many timpani with new parts sourced or fabricated. This can be a ground up rebuild of a timpani with new struts, suspension rings, counter hoops, chroming, painting/ powdercoating, ratchets, teeth even a new bowl.
