Timpani mallets are expensive however through normal playing they will wear out I offer a complete refelting service, I can replace just the top layer of felt or strip the mallet back to the core and completely refelt the mallet. This is generally down to how warn the mallet is. By analysing the thickness and size of the original felt I can get a close match to how the mallet originally sounded. The finest quality German felt is used for this.
